Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has recently announced a 1 lakh Free Tatkal Power Connection for the farmer of the state. This scheme is only for the farmers of rural agricultural land eligible for this scheme. The Government decided to increase the benefits of this scheme for all the needy farmers of the state. The state government’s objective behind this scheme is to give maximum benefits to the farmers.
The government has decided that all the scheme applications will get benefits on a Tatkal basis. Eligibility for TN Tatkal Free Power Connection Scheme
Farmers of the Tamil Nadu state only can apply for this scheme. This scheme will increase the productivity of the farmers of the state, and when the productivity of farmers will increase the requirement for the agricultural product of the state will be full filled easily. This is the main motif behind launching this scheme for the farmer of state. Below are the points of eligibility for the Tatkal free power connection
- Only farmers of Tamil Nadu State are eligible for this scheme.
- Permanent citizens of the state are eligible.
- Only farmers of rural are eligible for the scheme.
- Farmers who are willing to pay the structural fee according to a load of power connection required
- Any nationality identity proof Like Voter ID/Aadhar Card/Ration Card will be accepted as a Permanent resident of the state
- Owner proof of the well and agricultural land is mandatory.

Farmer has to buy pump sets for their well to get the free power connection, Although the fee is one time for the farmer, it will give the facility of free heavy power connection for irrigation problem. and this will make sure the supply of power supply connection will reach to near your agriculture land.
