The Finance Minister has announced a Kisan Income Assistance Scheme called Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which has also been implemented in the state. The scheme was presented in the Interim Budget 2019 in the National Assembly on 1 February 2019. Under this scheme, all small and marginal farmers of the state will be provided financial assistance of Rs 6,000 every year. In this article, we are providing you with information about the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. As per the plan, the farmer should have cultivable land of up to 2 hectares as per the land records of the respective state and union territories and the existing land-ownership system would be used to identify beneficiaries for calculating benefits.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the farmers and to assist them in the purchase of various equipment required during the sowing season. The project is aimed at all small and marginal farmers across the country.

Eligibility Criteria For PM Kisan Scheme
To apply for PM Kisan Yojana you have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria-
- The farmer should be a citizen of India.
- Farmers classified as small and marginal agricultural laborers are allowed to apply for the scheme.
- If the farmer has more than 2 acres of fields, he is not eligible to get the benefit of the scheme.
- A sedentary farmer on constitutional posts cannot take advantage of this scheme.
- Farmers with monthly income above Rs 10,000 cannot avail of this scheme.

- On clicking, the New Farmer Registration Form will open in front of you.
- Here you have to fill in your Aadhaar number first and then enter the given captcha and select your state.
- After all the process is complete, you will have to click “Search” at the end.
- After this, you will go to the next page. Here you have to fill in all the information asked.
- After filling in all the information you have to click on “Submit”.
- In this way, your registration in Manipur Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be completed.
