To improve the birth certificate, the applicant has to go to the concerned Regional Birth Registrar’s office. Parents will have to submit an affidavit stating that the details given in the birth register have been entered incorrectly. They have to pay Rs 50 as a compounding fee. After the correction, they will have to apply for a new certificate.
