RTO (Road Transport Office) is an official government body that works on roads and transport areas. The owner of the vehicle will give car-related documents to the new owner such as insurance, RC, and PUC under Form 29. So, you are required to fill out the PDF Form 29. Through this form, all the important documents will be delivered in the new owner’s name.
RTO Form 30 is based on Form 29. Form 30 confirms that the official vehicle has been transferred to the new owners. It is a legal bond between seller and buyer. Now all the responsibility will fall on a new owner. All forms 28, 29, and 30 need to be submitted to the RTO office within 14 days after selling a vehicle.

- Two copies of Form 29
- Receipt of online payment
- Original Registration Certificate and a photocopy
- Self Attested copy of address proof of the registered vehicle transferor
- Copy of valid vehicle insurance certificate
- Self Attested copy of two addresses proofs of the transferee or the new vehicle owner
- Pollution Certificate or PUC of the transferor
- Chassis or Engine Print of Form 29 and 30. If the Chassis Print is not clear then only go for Engine Print.
- Passport-size photo of the transferee or the new owner
- Adhar card of both the transferor and transferee of the vehicle.
