The government aims to provide basic amenities and facilities to the disabled. Under the scheme, the government will provide Rs 1,000 as a monthly pension to persons with disabilities. - The District Magistrate of the concerned district shall be presented to the Block Development Officer or Executive Officer of the Panchayat Samiti in case of an applicant residing in rural areas under the Panchayat Samiti;
- In case of applicant residing in Municipal / Notified areas outside Kolkata Municipal Corporation areas shall be submitted to the District Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Officer of the concerned district; And
- In case of applicants residing in areas falling under Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Controller of Vagrancy, West Bengal and Controller of Vagrancy, West Bengal will be submitted.
